Chair of Trustee
Resident of Hemlington since 1978 single mum of 3 , now grandmother of 6. Always actively involved in matters in the community, local ward councillor since 2007.
Board member of Linx many years.

Malcolm Saysell
Deputy chair
Joined Linx Board in 1997, at the same time I was elected as a Councillor in Hemlington. During my career in Teaching (secondary).
I worked in a number of Teesside schools teaching maths and technology, at the same time I worked part time in a youth club in East.
Cleveland. My main interests are DIY and sport. during my teaching Career I always looked after one of the school football teams.

Lisa Marron
Trustee
Lisa is a qualified accountant who works in the Education Sector and lives in Middlesbrough.
She is keen to support youth activities and volunteered in the past at Youth Action Middlesbrough.

Sean Murphy
Trustee
Sean is currently a Senior Lecturer in Youth Work at Teesside University. He has a wealth of professional expertise and practice knowledge, with over 25 years youth and community work experience, including work across Teesside, as well as posts in Manchester, Liverpool and Leicester.
He is known as a well-established academic and researcher, with key specialisms in Young Carers, and Care Leavers; Youth rights, citizenship and participation; Youth justice, and policing of communities; Irish and minority ethnic young people; Culture, identity and belonging.
He is also an active member of the Professional Association of Lecturers in Youth and Community Work (PALYCW) and the National Youth Agency’s (NYA) Training and Advisory Group (TAG), and a member of the British Educational Research Association (BERA).

Nicky Walker
Trustee
Nicky is one of the founding members of the Board of Management who helped secure funding for and set up Linx in 1983. Since then she has held posts of both treasurer and chair.
A former community work tutor, she has 30 years experience of working in communities as a volunteer and 20 years as a ward councillor. She also has backgrounds in strategic finance and funding.

John Dilworth
Trustee
John has been associated with Linx since it was founded and a member of the Board of Trustees as Treasurer and then as Chair throughout several years of significant organisational change.
Now retired, he is a professionally qualified youth worker and community development practitioner with a long career in local government, the voluntary sector and in various strategic and project management roles in the public sector. Born locally and living in Middlesbrough, John has worked in various community development roles elsewhere in the UK and also contributed to developing policy around youth engagement in Northern Ireland with the University of Ulster.
