Sara Mirsalehi, Operations Manager at Linx Youth Project to talk to Peter Barron about heroic efforts to support young people and families through lockdown. By funding Linx Youth Project, with the support of the National Emergencies Trust, the Foundation aims to make No Poverty a reality for more people across the North East. In an interview, Sara spoke frankly about the team’s efforts to fight poverty in Tees Valley, her hopes for the future, and the need for funding to continue. The project was established in Middlesbrough many years ago, and offers a wide range of services for young people – including outreach work. Throughout the pandemic the team worked tirelessly to support families as they shielded, by delivering food, moral support and activities to help keep the peace.
